  1. To be honest, anyone with PAL compatible equipment would be better off importing the UK set. It has all 15 seasons and currently retails in the UK for around £60 ($99.00, at the time of writing). That’s a much better, and CHEAPER, option than this 12 season set.

The one star I have given has nothing to do with the quality of the show. It’s entirely to do with the fact that this 12 season boxset costs around FOUR times that of the UK set which has all 15 seasons.

ER went off the air after fifteen seasons in 2009. There are three more to go before the series is completely out on DVD. Do you not believe there is going to be a complete series set probably at the end of next year? I think so. If they’ll box twelve seasons together they’ll box fifteen of them and add extras not in any of the previous sets.

On the other hand, ER really began to jump the shark after season eleven. If you are not a completist or did not like the last few seasons, maybe this set is for you. As for me, I don’t intend to be taken again after shelling out for individual seasons of so many series (Angel, Buffy, etc.) just to see a complete series set come out that I really want to have.

The series is excellent. The price for the bundle seems to be lower usually than buying all of the seasons individually. I suspect a complete series will be released after all the seasons are released by themselves, but that could take at least 1-2 years. There is definitely no guarantee of that. I would much rather just get the seasons now.
