This set contains the rest of Season 2 of Transformers Generation 1. The episodes that were in Season 2 Vol. 1 were great, and this set containing the rest of the Season 2 episodes won’t disappoint if you loved the Vol. 1 set. All of Season 2 we see some new characters come into the series along with some memorable events that go on throughout the entire second season of Transformers. While I may not be a Transformers geek like my bro is, but I can still appreciate what Generation 1 had offered through the first 2 seasons of the show. I give the second half of Season 2 a 4.5 out of 5.

The only thing I need to add for this review was in the “Cosmic Rust” episode, Menasor says “damn it” when the aerialbots attack him. I completely forgot about him saying that! Transformers…….nothing like it as far as 80′s cartoons go.

If you grew up with the Autobots and Decepticons you will love this Shout production re-release! I’m surprised how many of these episodes I remember!!
It’s a total trip down memory lane and kind of inspiring again.

I love this season because of not only of more history of the transformers like the introduction of Alpha Trion and how Optimus Prime came to be, but also the introduction of the teams of combiners like Stunticons, Aerobots, and Combaticons. I was able to get one or two of these teams but never was able to afford to get all of them, which is why as an adult I got a couple sets of each and gave them to my children. These brings back memories of the good old days and my kids love them too.
